Mission

To strengthen and advance the quality of life in our communities by maintaining perpetual endowment funds, making responsible grants and acting as a catalyst for community philanthropy and leadership.

Description

The Reston and Area Foundation Inc. is located in the RM of Pipestone in SW Manitoba with a population of 1,422 residents. The foundation started with 13 residents signing a constitution in 2001, incorporating in 2002, gaining charitable status in 2004, and signing an agreement with the Winnipeg Foundation in 2006. We’re still going strong with 7 current board members.

A current goal of our foundation was to achieve a million dollars in assets with our “Make a Million” campaign. Through the help of private donations, our local RM, and the Giving Challenge, we achieved that goal in 2025!

To date we have given out close to half a million in grants and scholarships to local organizations and post-secondary students!
