Foundation Highlights
On behalf of the Tiger Hills Community Foundation, Karla MacTavish, treasurer, accepted a cheque in the amount of $3,056 from the Tiger Hills Health Auxiliaries.
The Tiger Hills Health Auxiliary began as 10 separate auxiliaries in 1957 when the Treherne Hospital originally opened its doors. In 2000 they amalgamated into one auxiliary, but their purpose remained the same; fundraising to support purchases for the hospital. In 2018, after the MAHA (Manitoba Association of Health Auxiliaries) folded after 70 years, the Tiger Hills Auxiliary decided to officially end its fundraising activities and distribute their remaining funds.
The money will continue to benefit the Tiger Hills Health Centre in perpetuity, as the Foundation deposited it in the Health Fund, which is designated for community health.
The Tiger Hills Community Foundation board truly appreciates the tremendous community support it receives. For good…forever!
